A MONEY expert has revealed how you could make an extra £5,000 a year with an easy side hustle that doesn’t even need a degree.
As little as an hour a day dedicated to a second business could see Brits add thousands onto their annual income even with a day off.
Research from business advice company Informi found that one in five UK workers have a second job and ranked the top ten side hustles by hourly earnings.
At the top of the rankings were translators, with people fluent in another language earning up to £15.52 an hour.
If you were to translate for just an hour a day, five days a week plus one hour on the weekend, you could see earnings of £4,842.24.
These roles usually involve the translation of written material and, depending on your fluency and the length of the document, are often not too time-consuming.
Second on the list were tutors, who can earn up to £15.24 an hour.
At higher levels, these roles will likely require a degree in the subject, but for tutoring up to GCSE level that may not be necessary.
Nannying rounded out the top three, with £11.08 an hour.
However, professional childcarers have to be qualified and pass a background check to be able to operate in the industry.
Other roles on the list included dog walkers at £10 an hour and delivery drivers at £9.74 an hour.
Huw Moxon, marketing manager at Informi, told The Express: “Over the last year, regular pay has improved by 6.7%. However, consumer price inflation has grown at a rate of 9.2%.
“It’s no wonder more and more people are looking for ways to make money.
“There’s so much information available on how to get started, but the important part is to take the time to pick what side hustle best suits your lifestyle, goals, and the time you have available.”
