India’s top two telcos — Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel — may be rapidly rolling out 5G services and targeting pan-India coverage by the year-end, but some consumers don’t seem impressed by the quality on offer. Only 16% of India’s first wave of 5G users say the call drops situation has eased while nearly 42% feel there has been no improvement after they upgraded from 4G, according to a national survey by LocalCircles. Consumer feedback on 5G data experience, though, is more heartening, with 49% saying 5G speeds are faster but still below early expectations.
