Woman's Dating App Bio Says 'Virgin And A Mom'; Internet Says 'Doesn't Add Up' – News18

Dating in this modern world can be quite tricky. Despite the easy accessibility to dating websites like Tinder and Bumble, users often fall prey to scams like catfishing and phishing. Not to forget the tiresome effort it takes to create an interesting profile by selecting the best pictures and writing a catchy bio to attract potential dates. However at times, while writing about oneself, people tend to go a little overboard. Some of the things they share about themselves on dating apps might seem odd or difficult to believe. On a similar note, a screenshot of a woman whose dating app profile shows that she is both a “virgin and a mom” sparked hilarious reactions from internet users.

The pictorial screenshot was dropped on X (formerly Twitter) on September 14. It featured a mirror selfie of a 33-year-old woman named Addie, whose face was not revealed. But, it was her bio that caught the attention of social media users. It read, “Love God (prayer hand emoji), Virgin (willing to change for the right person), Single momma, Love to travel, go on hikes, work out”. Upon coming across her bio, the internet wondered how Addie could claim herself to be a virgin but also a single mother at the same time. It rightfully generated amusing reactions with 5.6 million views.

While one user pointed out, “Something doesn’t add up,” another quipped, “Very confused by the whole situation here.” A third individual turned sarcastic as they opined that the woman might be Mother Mary— also known as Virgin Mary by some. “That’s not Addie, that’s the Virgin Mary,” they commented.

A few X users however explained that Addie calling herself a virgin and a single mother might indicate that she has adopted the child. “Maybe she adopted?” noted one. Meanwhile, another guessed, “She probably meant celibate.” Suggested that Addie might consider her pets, if any, as her kids a third individual chimed, “Ever heard of adoption. Either that or she’s one of those my pets are my kids type people.”

This is not the first time that such confusing dating profiles have popped up on the internet. Earlier, a man named Ankit Jha, “looking for a long-term partner” left social media users surprised after he added his academic achievements on his dating app profile.
