WETHERSPOONS is bringing back its Valentine’s Day meal for two – but an “awful” change will leave fans fuming once again.
The boozer is bringing back the popular deal, but The Sun can exclusively reveal that it is now priced at £25 – £3 more than last year.
Wetherspoon has been running its Valentine’s meal deal since 2018, when it was priced at £20.
The deal includes two main meals, two desserts and two drinks.
But in 2023, punters were left devastated when it increased by £2 from £20 to £22.
Writing on social media about last year’s price rise, one fan branded it a “joke” while others called it “awful” and “horrid”.
This means that the deal has increased by 25% since 2020.
Plus, prices may vary from pub to pub, meaning you could pay even more than £25.
The Sun has asked Wetherspoons for a list of pubs where the deal may cost more and we will update this story once we hear back.
It’s a good idea to double-check the price at the bar before you order so you’re not caught out.
A Wetherspoon spokesman said the company “always aims to keep its prices as competitive as possible”.
The offer will run for one day only – February 14, Valentine’s Day.
As with other years, customers can choose two main meals, two desserts and two drinks.
Among the offers is a sirloin steak, served with either a jacket potato, mashed potato, chips or a salad.
There is also a choice of two sauces – either creamy peppercorn sauce or Jack Daniels Tennessee honey glaze.
If steak isn’t for you, there’s a mixed grill served with either a jacket potato, mashed potato or a Mediterranean salad.
The BBQ chicken melt is also served with either a jacket potato, mashed potato or a Mediterranean salad.
Below is a full list of mains on offer:
- Gourmet 8oz sirloin steak with peas, tomato, mushroom, three onion rings and a steak sauce.

You can pair your meal with an alcoholic or soft drink and there is more than 150 to choose from.
They will also be able to upgrade their drinks to a bottle of Prosecco for £5 extra too.
You can find your nearest Spoons by using the pub locator on its website.
The price rise comes after the rate of inflation rose slightly to 4% in December, in a surprise increase driven by rising tobacco and booze prices.
Inflation is a measure of how the price of goods and services has changed over the past year.
Prices of alcohol and tobacco rose by 12.8% in the year to December 2023, compared with a rise of 10.2% in November.
Wetherspoons isn’t the only retailer announcing its Valentine’s Day offerings.
Co-op’s £12 Valentine’s Day meal deal includes authentic Italian pizza and a bottle of fizz.
