Watch out Dyson and Shark – Samsung reveals clever new way to vacuum your floors

Dyson may have recently launched its ludicrously powerful Vis Nav 360 robot vacuum and Shark continues to impress but there will soon be some added competition for them to battle against. Samsung has just announced that it will soon be releasing a new machine that it hopes will clean up and make those weekly chores a little more manageable. It’s called Bespoke Jet Bot Combo and will given its first outing at the CES technology show in Las Vegas next month.

Samsung says it’s using clever AI in this new device – including upgraded Object Recognition – to help make sure it sucks up every speck of dust on your floors. That should mean you can go out for the day and return to find those floors are free from filth.

Of course, robot vacuums aren’t anything new but perhaps the most impressive feature of the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo is its ability to spot and sort stains on carpets and rugs.

As it goes about its day, this vacuum uses sensors to spot any grime or spillages that have ended up on the floor. Once detected, it goes back to its clean station and heats up special in-built mop pads to high temperatures using steam and water. The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo then returns to the area and uses powerful spinning mops to actively scrub off even hardened stains.

It can also work out the floor type to maximise cleaning and can boost the suction when it detects areas that may have more muck. This type of intelligence not only improves its ability to suck up dust but also helps extend battery life as it only uses the extra power when really needed.

“I am thrilled to introduce our innovative vacuum cleaner lineup for 2024, the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo™, which leverages our latest AI technology to meaningfully improve its usability,” said Moohyung Lee, EVP and Head of the Customer Experience Team of Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. “With powerful cleaning as a baseline, the new robot cleaner moves the consumer cleaning experience forward through innovative features. We firmly believe it will make cleaning more enjoyable for our customers.”

Samsung says that its Bespoke Jet Bot Combo is currently in development so some features may change or improve before it arrives in stores.

Expect plenty more news to be announced at CES 2024 with things kicking off from January 9. All of the major manufacturers use this global event to show off new gadgets and concepts and it could be another blockbuster year for top tech.

Express.co.uk will be in Vegas for the big showcase and will bring you all the news live as it happens – watch this space.
