Disney Plus has dropped to just £1.99 …but the clock is ticking on this incredible saving
There has never been a better time to subscribe to Disney Plus.
The House of Mouse has slashed a whopping 75% off the cost of the subscription – dropping it from £7.99 to just £1.99 per month. For that, you’ll be able to access everything on Disney Plus in up to 4K Ultra HD picture quality with HDR and Dolby Atmos, download shows and films to watch offline, and stream on up to 4x devices simultaneously!
Act now, and you’ll be able to secure this superb price cut for the next three months, so you won’t need to think about paying more than £1.99 for Disney Plus until a few weeks from Christmas.
The price crash down to £1.99 equals the lowest-ever subscription fee we’ve seen from the popular streamer …unless you count the (now canned) Disney Plus free trial.
The £1.99 subscription fee is only available until 11.59pm on September 20, 2023.
This unmissable £1.99 deal isn’t only available for new customers. Yes, even if you’ve previously held a Disney Plus subscription but decided to take a break – you’ll also be able to take advantage of the incredibly low price to rejoin.
Welcome to Wrexham follows Ryan Reynolds and Robert McElhenney ownership of the Welsh football club
But there’s one more detail that makes this Disney Plus price crash such an incredible deal, and that’s the timing.
Yes, Disney has already confirmed plans to shake up the pricing of its subscriptions from November 1, 2023 in the UK. It’s switching from a single one-size-fits-all approach to three subscription plans at different price points.
There are…
- Disney Plus Standard with Ads | £4.99
- Disney Plus Standard | £7.99 per month, or £79.90 annually
- Disney Plus Premium | £10.99 per month, or £109.90 annually
Those who want to keep all of the same features included with the current £7.99 per month plan – like the ability to watch in 4K Ultra HD with HDR and Dolby Atmos support and across four devices simultaneously – will need to move to Disney Plus Premium.
That’s a price rise of £30 for the annual plan. Ouch.
If you choose to stick with the £7.99 per month plan, you’ll be limited to 1080p High Definition (HD) resolution with Stereo Sound or 5.1 Surround Sound, not Dolby Atmos.
Meryl Streep stars in the third series of comedy-murder mystery, Only Murders In The Building
With this dramatic shake-up looming on the horizon, getting access to three months of Disney Plus for less than the cost of a single £7.99 fee is an incredible deal. Easily one of the best Disney Plus deals we’ve come across.
For less than £2, you’ll be able to stream every entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the latest entries like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Not only that, you can also watch the complete Star Wars saga, including exclusive new shows like Ahsoka, The Mandalorian and Obi-wan Kenobi, set within George Lucas’ epic universe.
There’s also a dizzying number of films from Pixar, from classics like Toy Story and Monsters Inc to more recent releases, like Lightyear, Soul, and Turning Red.
Of course, the Walt Disney brand is synonymous with its iconic hand-drawn classics like The Jungle Book, Dumbo, and Sleeping Beauty – and these are all present and correct in the Disney Plus catalogue.
Disney+ has an eclectic library, packed with everything from its blockbuster remake of The Little Mermaid to the hotly-anticipated second season of Welcome To Wrexham
Also available to stream are the recent remakes of these classics, including the 2023 reimagining of The Little Mermaid, which is available to stream from September 6, 2023. The rebooted Mulan, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and many more are available to watch on-demand alongside recent animation, like Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Encanto, and Tangled, to name just a few.
Disney Plus is also packed with content from National Geographic and Star, which might not quite be the sort of thing you’d associate with the House of Mouse. That includes award-winning documentaries like The Rescue and Free Solo, as well as binge-worthy boxsets like The Bear, The Kardashians, Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, Only Murders In The Building, Family Guy, and films like The Banshees of Inisherin, The Menu, Avatar: The Way Of Water, Fresh, Prey, Barbarian, amongst hundreds more.
Both series of award-winning drama, The Bear, is available to stream exclusively on Disney Plus
The Kardashians – the follow-up to Keeping Up… is exclusive to Disney and returns for a 4th series
Disney Plus has apps on a dizzying number of platforms, including iPhone, Android, Sky Glass, Sky Stream, Sky Q, Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast with Google TV, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox, and PlayStation, to name just a few. Parental controls are available to all customers, so profiles for younger viewers can be restricted to only include age-appropriate TV shows and films. PINs can be used to prevent family members from bypassing the blocks on their own profiles.
As well as its blockbuster new deal – which equates to an £18 saving compared to three months at the standard £7.99 subscription – Disney Plus has revealed its new shows and films for the coming months.
In the coming months, Disney Plus subscribers will be able to watch Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, the second series of Ryan Reynolds’ football documentary series Welcome To Wrexham, a fourth instalment of The Kardashians, drama series The Other Black Girl, and the second season of Marvel spin-off show Loki.
