Virgin Media customers rush to get cheaper Sky TV and broadband – don't miss the deadline

If one of your New Year resolutions was to save some money off your broadband and TV bills then Virgin Media might have just what you are looking for. The telecoms giant has unleashed a swathe of discounts which include ultrafast broadband, TV and phone for a much reduced price. In fact, some of the plans are slashing up to £270 off the standard price and even include premium Sky services such as Sports and Cinema which makes them pretty enticing offers.

With such big money off it appears that at least one of these deals hasn’t gone unnoticed with Virgin confirming that over 1,300 customers have signed up in the last 24 hours alone.

So what is the offer that’s being snapped up so fast?

The plan that seems to have attracted all of the attention is money off Virgin’s Mega Volt bundle. This ultimate option includes a bunch of extras such as speedy 500Mbps broadband, over 200 TV channels, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and an O2 SIM card that offers unlimited calls, texts and data.

Virgin usually charges £85 per month for this plan but, right now, customers can sign up and get it for just £70 per month – that’s a £270 saving over the 18-month contract. There’s also no set-up fee to pay and you have until February’s deadline to decide which gives you a bit of time to shop around.
