Parks & Beautification Board
The Park Rapids Parks and Beautification Board will meet at noon Monday, Sept. 11 at Park Rapids City Hall. The agenda includes a report from parks employee Steph Pazdernik, the roof bid process for the Red Bridge Park beach house, a recommendation and pricing for a children’s attraction at Pioneer Park, a Depot Park tennis court update, monthly expenditures and an update from the “food forest” plot committee.
Park Rapids Planning Commission
The Park Rapids Planning Commission will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11 at Park Rapids City Hall. The agenda features public hearings on a zoning amendment regarding signage in a highway business district, requested by Shawn Grey with Espresso 34 to allow at least 150 square feet of signage, and a request by the Hubbard County Food Shelf to reguide and rezone a parcel owned by Barbara Vanorsdel at Eastern Ave. N. and Charles Street from single family residential to commercial/highway business.
The Menahga City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11 and Monday, Sept. 25 at Menahga City Hall. The agenda is posted on the city’s website:

The Nevis City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11 at city hall. The meeting will also be livestreamed and recorded for viewing on Youtube. For more information call the city office.
Hubbard County Food Shelf
The annual meeting for Hubbard County Food Shelf, Inc., a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, will be held at 4 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids. The agenda includes secretary, treasurer and director reports and election of officers. The meeting is open to the public.

The Akeley City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at city hall. Due to the Hwy. 34 Project, entrance to the meeting will be by using the back entrance to the Senior Center. Use that parking lot for parking.
