One industry body is estimating that between 260,000 and 500,000 more tech staff are needed across the EU

Europe requires up to half a million additional cyber security workers to meet the growing threat of cyber attacks, a global IT professional body has estimated.

According to research from US-based Isaca, tech worker shortages across the EU currently stand at 260,000 to 500,000.

The finding backs up recent research by Cyber Ireland, which estimated that Ireland needs an additional 1,000 cyber security workers annually.
