The newest software update for the factory-unlocked versions of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with firmware version G99xU1UESAFXAB. It is available on almost all carrier networks in the US and only includes the February 2024 security patch, which means it has a relatively smaller download size. The new patch aims to fix 72 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software.

If you have a Galaxy S21 series phone in the US and if it is a factory-unlocked model, you can check for the new update right now. To do that, open the Settings app on your device, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also try the alternative method of downloading the appropriate firmware file from our database and flashing it manually. You would need a computer running Windows OS and having the Odin tool installed. Moreover, you also need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series with Android 11 onboard in early 2021. In late 2021, the phones received the Android 12 update. The company released the Android 13 update to those phones in late 2022. A couple of months ago, the phones received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update. A couple of months down the line, the devices could get more features with the One UI 6.1 update.
