UK retail workers: have you noticed an increase in difficult or abusive customers?

New research indicates that two in five retail workers face abuse from customers on a weekly basis – which has led 42% to considering quitting their jobs or leaving retail work altogether. According to a survey conducted by The Retail Trust, shop workers are routinely being shouted at, spat on, threatened, or hit by customers. We want to hear from those who have experienced this first hand.

Have you noticed an increase in the numbers of difficult or abusive customers at work? Has this kind of behaviour led you to hand in your notice? Tell us about it below.
