Travel along mountain roads

For those of you who live or regularly go ‘up there’, winding mountain roads are not just serpentine ribbons of tar but an open vista, a new perspective of the surrounding panorama. As you drive or walk along these roads, suddenly, a majestic view appears, unannounced: a snow-clad mountain tip. That is a joy that knows no bounds.

The view of a peak, either shrouded in mist or illuminated by the sun’s golden rays, is certain to leave the viewer changed. The sheer scale of a mountain range commands attention, a reminder of nature’s grandeur and humbling power. With every step, the mountain grows larger, its details becoming more defined – the rugged cliffs, verdant slopes and patches of snow. For visitors passing through, it is awe-inspiring. For residents, it is a blessing.

Each mountain ridge tells a tale of time, etched by weather’s brushstrokes, a testament to resilience and grandeur. The interplay of light and shadow unveils a breathtaking spectacle, evoking reverence. But mountains are not just about natural beauty. In them, we find solace, connection, and a profound appreciation for the world that we have inherited, and live in.
