BURN BABY BURN: If you have a little spare sand, or ash from a previous fire, line the bottom of the pit with it.
Only use seasoned hardwood or charcoal to burn in your fire pit. Burning wood that has been treated or painted could release toxins.
Look around on eBay and marketplace sites for local suppliers to find the best prices on seasoned hardwood.
If you want to use your fire pit to cook or grill food, charcoal is typically a better option because it keeps a steadier temperature.
