The Sun Never Sets on the Data Privacy and Security Landscape – Morgan Lewis

In a recent LawFlash, George Cyriac, Wai Ming Yap, and Dr. Axel Spies reviewed key features of India’s new privacy law—the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). They also discussed what to expect regarding and how to prepare for these new requirements, including that India’s central government may enact separate rules to give effect to certain provisions of the DPDP Act.

Taking a broader perspective, a team of Morgan Lewis lawyers published a report on navigating the global data privacy landscape. They analyze the evolving, complex privacy environment across the globe, including trends (and trendsetters), focus areas, similarities, key differences, and action items.

Continuing the global momentum, Anastasia Dergacheva and Ksenia Andreeva will be presenting a webinar on Strengthening Your Digital Fortress on Tuesday, October 3 at 1:00 pm GST. They will explore the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats and data breaches, equipping the in-house community with practical tools and best practices to enhance their digital security posture. Visit the event page for more information.
