The Ando, a burger pizza, is a hidden gem at Brockton's Cape Cod Cafe – Enterprise News

With locations in Bridgewater, Brockton, Raynham, and Halifax, Cape Cod Cafe has been a community staple for bar-style pizza for more than 80 years. Established in 1939, the joint was bought by E. James “Papa” Jamoulis in 1947. Three-generations later, the cafe is now in the hands of Jamoulis’ grandsons, Jonathon and Jeremy.

The brothers are keeping their grandfather’s long perfected pizza recipe, but they’re also shaking things up with more creative menu options — like the Ando burger, a half-pound certified angus beef burger, topped with American cheese and served between two mini-cheese pizzas.

A server at the restaurant claims the menu item has been around for at least a couple years and its popularity comes in waves. “Some people get really excited about it,” she said.
