The Houston Texans are deploying Evolv weapons detection systems at NRG Stadium, an activation which began with the team’s first preseason game in August. The Texans are using Evolv Express screeners, which combine AI and sensor technology to distinguish between weapons and everyday items on event attendees’ person as they ingress, expediting a process once dominated by traditional metal detectors or manual screening. The Texans are the 12th NFL team to partner with Evolv, a list that includes the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles Chargers/Rams), and Gillette Stadium. Evolv has more than 40 sports partners spanning MLB, MLS, and the NHL in addition to the NFL.
