Tech Group Seeks Enforcement Bar for Teenager Social Media Law – Bloomberg Law


The big tech lobbying group challenging the constitutionality of an Arkansas law restricting access to social media for teens under 18 years old is asking an Arkansas federal court to prevent the state from enforcing the law against its members.

In a motion filed July 7, NetChoice—representing companies including Meta Platforms Inc., Twitter Inc., and TikTok Inc.—asked the federal District Court for the Western District of Arkansas to block state Attorney General Tim Griffin’s office from enforcing the law until the merits of its challenge are decided.
