Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. San Fang Chemical Industry Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.99% or 4.10 points to end at 45.15 and Foxconn Technology Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.96% or 7.30 points to 80.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Creative Sensor Inc (TW:) declined 8.24% or 5.70 points to end at 63.50 and Golden Bridge Electech Inc (TW:) shed 8.09% or 2.05 points to 23.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.67% or 0.46 to $69.07 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.65% or 0.47 to hit $72.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 5.35 to trade at $2,795.45 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.02% to 31.96, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 103.99.
