Investing.com – Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Creative Sensor Inc (TW:), which rose 9.99% or 4.15 points to trade at 45.70 at the close. Roundtop Machinery Industries Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.94% or 4.35 points to end at 48.10 and Ta Liang Technology Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.92% or 7.70 points to 85.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which lost 9.95% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.90 in late trade. Lead Data Inc (TW:) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Jinan Acetate Chemical Co Ltd (TW:) shed 9.80% or 94.00 points to 865.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.64% or 0.44 to $69.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.58% or 0.42 to hit $72.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 13.95 to trade at $2,594.55 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.24% to 32.01, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 101.06.
