Crow’s Nest based Orca Technology has added United States extended detection and response (XDR) vendor Vectra AI to its distribution portfolio.
Vectra AI’s XDR platform aims to free security analysts of “alert fatigue” and burnout, giving them the ability instead to respond to hybrid attacks at speed and scale.
Citing a report of 2000 IT security professionals Vectra AI commissioned, the company said it confirmed that the threat detection and response model is fundamentally broken today, with SOC teams ignoring thousands of alerts a day and ignoring two-thirds of them.
Such alert volumes cause stress, and Orca Tech said some 58 per cent of Australia-New Zealand security analysts are considering, or are actively leaving, their jobs.
”The Vectra AI Platform with Attack Signal Intelligence is an ideal fit for Orca’s portfolio of leading cyber security vendors,” Craig Ashwood, Orca Tech’s general manager said.
“Vectra AI provides our partners with a comprehensive suite of cyber security products that have integrations and bring additional value to their services through simplification and speed to resolution in today’s challenging environment, which is top of mind when assessing any new vendor,” he added.
“With Vectra AI, we can provide the ability to profile and detect malicious behaviour at scale. “
“The data driven engine can categorise anomalous behaviour and malicious activity in customer environments, reducing time to detect threats and preventing zero-day attacks,” Ashwood said.
