He joins the telco after a 15-year stint at Bharti Airtel where he last held the position of VP & head of infrastructure procurement and operations. He joined Airtel in 2007 as senior manager in the supply chain department and moved on to roles like deputy general manager, and general manager in the department.
Prior to joining Airtel, Sharma spent 6 years at the erstwhile Idea Cellular where he joined as senior executive – materials in 2001. His last position at Idea was as manager -material which he held till his exit in October 2007.
He has a master’s in business administration from Pune University (1998) and has completed diploma courses in supply chain management from Indian Institute of Management and Indian School of Business over the course of his 23 year long career.
