A stunning collection of Porsches is going under the hammer and set to make a fortune.
The fleet of vintage and modern German sports cars is so big – 86 in total – that two separate auctions are being held, with around £20million in total sales expected.
Among the top models going up for sale is a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS Touring.
The yellow motor boasts a top speed of 152mph and a 0-60mph of 5.9 seconds.
One previously sold for £790,000, but this one is tipped to go for £450,000.
Also for sale is a silver 1995 Porsche 911 GT2 Evolution that can do 0-60mph in a staggering 3.3 seconds.
With a top speed of 187mph it is likely to sell for around £450,000 as well.
They will be sold in the first part of the RM Sotheby’s sale, which takes place at the Hotel Meilenstein in Langenthal, Switzerland on 7 July.
The other half will be at RM Sotheby’s, Milan on 12 July.
An RM Sotheby’s spokesperson said: “We are delighted to announce further details regarding the sale of the incredible Carrera Collection.
“Continuing its reputation as the leading auction house for single-owner collections, this remarkable selection of cars is no exception, with there being a cumulative figure of 86 cars in total, with around 50 in the first Swiss-based sale and around 30 in the Italian-based sale.
“The first half of the two-part sale will be held in Switzerland.
“This is the larger portion of the Collection and boasts some remarkable examples, including a stunning 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring.
“Which is offered in its beautiful original colours of Light Yellow over Black.”
“The Carrera Collection is not just limited to road cars, with a particular highlight being the 1995 Porsche 911 GT2 Evolution.
“This was the highest-performance version of the air-cooled era of the 911, and this example was rebuilt in the mid-2010s by Rennsport of Reggio Emilia, Italy.”
Oliver Camelin, Director of Sales, Switzerland said: “It is incredibly rare that a collection of Porsches of this quantity and quality comes to market.
“It features a wide and exceptional cross-section of 911s, many of which boast rare specifications or are limited-edition cars.
“With all cars offered across both the sales with no reserve, this is an exciting opportunity for Porsche enthusiasts.”
