Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 0.81 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.44 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.42 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.58 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.11 per cent down at 865.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 73.86 points at 21618.7, while the BSE Sensex stood up 271.5 points at 71657.71.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, TV18 Broadcast, Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power and Infibeam Avenues were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Network18 Media, Visagar Polytex, Aspinwall and Co, Motisons Jewellers and Apollo Sindoori hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Astec Lifesc, Raj Rayon, Happy Forgings, Gandhar Oil Refinery and IndInfravit Trust hit their fresh 52-week lows.
