Bosch Ltd.(up 2.88 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.35 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.28 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent) were among the top gainers.
MRF Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) and Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.43 per cent at 19009.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 12.3 points at 21725.3, while the BSE Sensex was down 151.74 points at 71789.83.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Infibeam Avenues, NHPC, YES Bank, JP Power and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Maral Overseas, Orchid Pharma, Hindprakash Industri, Kirloskar Elec and Aban Offshore hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Mold-Tek Pack, Euro India Fresh, Gandhar Oil Refinery, The Western India and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
