DOWNINGTOWN, PA — State Representative Christina Sappey (D-Chester) invites the residents of the 158th Legislative District to a Transportation Town Hall on Wednesday, June 12, at 7 p.m. The event will take place at Bradford Heights Elementary School, located at 1330 Romig Road in Downingtown.
The 158th Legislative District includes the townships of East Fallowfield, East Marlborough, Kennett, New Garden, Newlin, Pocopson, West Bradford, and West Marlborough, as well as the boroughs of Avondale and Kennett Square.
Sappey will be joined by PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll for an in-depth discussion about transportation issues. Topics will include PennDOT’s operations, policies, programs, and upcoming initiatives affecting state roadways, driver services, public transportation, and more. Residents are encouraged to attend, submit questions, and share their feedback.
“Transportation-related concerns are the top issues residents contact me about,” Sappey said. “I am grateful that Secretary Carroll will join me for this event to answer residents’ questions and engage in what will be a wide-ranging discussion. This is your opportunity to hear from the very top and to share your thoughts and questions.”
Mike Carroll, who previously served eight terms in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, was the Democratic chairman of the House Transportation Committee from 2018 to 2022. He became Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation in 2023.
An RSVP for the town hall is required. Residents interested in attending should RSVP by calling Sappey’s office at 484-200-8264 or by emailing repsappey@pahouse.net with “Town Hall” in the subject line. Questions for the discussion can also be sent to repsappey@pahouse.net.
This event provides a valuable opportunity for residents to engage directly with key officials and voice their concerns and suggestions about local transportation issues.
