State pension, benefits and cost of living payment dates for July – full list


Many Britons can expect payments from the Government next month for state pension and benefits, or a £150 cost of living payment.

People may want to check when they will be paid so they can make sure they have enough finances available to get by.

Benefit payments

There will be no bank holidays in July so benefits will be paid on their normal dates to claimants.

A person may want to familiarise themselves with the payment dates for their benefits and how often it is paid:

  • Attendance Allowance – every four weeks
  • Carer’s Allowance – weekly in advance or every four weeks
  • Child Benefit – every four weeks, or weekly for single parents, or if a claimant or their partner receives certain benefits
  • Disability Living Allowance – every four weeks
  • Employment and Support Allowance – every two weeks
  • Income Support – every two weeks
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance – every two weeks
  • Pension Credit – every four weeks
  • Personal Independence Payment – every four weeks
  • Tax credits, such as Working Tax Credit – every four weeks or weekly
  • Universal Credit – every month.

Likewise as there are no bank holidays over the coming months, the state pension will go out on the normal dates.

once a person starts to claim their pension.

To find out what day of the week a person will be paid their state pension, they can check the last two digits of their National Insurance number.

This is what a person’s payment day will be depending on the final two digits of their :

  • 00 to 19 – Monday
  • 20 to 39 – Tuesday
  • 40 to 59 – Wednesday
  • 60 to 79 – Thursday
  • 80 to 99 – Friday.

£150 disability cost of living payment

This one-off £150 payment is going out to people who receive certain disability benefits. The payments are being made from today, June 20 until July 4.

Some people will receive the money after July 4 – this applies to those who were still waiting for confirmation if they were eligible for a qualifying benefit on April 1.

These are the qualifying benefits:

  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Scottish Disability Benefits (Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment
  • Constant Attendance Allowance
  • War Pension Mobility Supplement.
