The film’s gross box-office collections at the end of the third day stood at ₹313 crore, as per data provided by production house Yash Raj Films. Gross box-office collections from India swelled to ₹201 crore after three days while the total overseas collection stood at ₹112 crore.
Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widhani said, “It is incredible that Pathaan has registered the biggest all-time opening in India and overseas, considering the collections of the film in the first three days of release which is dubbed the opening weekend for any film. Pathaan has been blessed by Indians across the globe and what is happening with this film is unprecedented and historic.”
Pathaan is the quickest among Hindi films to breach ₹300 crore worldwide collections, said Yash Raj Films. It said that Pathaan is the first Hindi film to collect more than ₹300 crore on its opening weekend.
The film’s net box-office collection from India stood at ₹38 crore in Hindi format, with dubbed formats bringing in another ₹1.25 crore.
Producer and film business expert Girish Johar said Pathaan’s collection will get a big boost during the weekend. “I have already revised my expectation from a ₹300 crore weekend grosser to now a ₹400 crore.
