Streaming giant Spotify, is rolling out new features like smart shuffle and previews of podcasts and music playlists on its platform.

On Wedneday, the Swedish company, which crossed 500 million in monthly active listeners, announced the ‘new re-imagined user interface’ at its Stream On event.

This new interface looks a lot like TikTok’s For You Page where you can tap into the Music, Podcasts & Shows, or Audiobooks feed to explore visual and audio previews of playlists, albums, podcast episodes, and audiobooks personalized to you.

From here you can tap to save or share, go deeper into the artist or podcast pages, play from the start, or continue listening from where the preview ended.

The app will also have a new feed for discovery in Search where you can scroll up or down to explore short clips from tracks from some of your favorite genres.

The new design essentially lets you save a song to a playlist, follow the artist, or share it with friends all from one place.

Like other social media apps, Spotify will let you explore related genres using the hashtags within the feed.

The new changes whon’t affect your Favorites, shortcuts, or most recently played, which will still appear at the top of your Home feed.

Features like autoplay for podcasts, personalized visual and audio previews of podcast episodes and audiobooks or music playlists, and new feeds for discovery will be rolled out in waves starting Wednesday, Spotify said.

Spotify also shared an update to its annual music royalties report, noting that the number of artists making over $1 million as well as those generating over $10,000 had more than doubled in the past five years.
