Some Sky users get game-changing free upgrade but is your TV on the list?

‌Sky has just announced a free upgrade that will boost one of its recently released products. Sky Live was introduced back in June, with this diddy device sitting on top of TVs and offering interactive video calls, fitness classes and a feature called “Watch Together” that lets users view movies and sporting action with friends and family even if they are on the other side of the country.

When Sky Live launched it also came packed with a number of games pre-installed. Now that catalogue of titles is getting a boost thanks to a blockbuster upgrade from the satellite firm.

In fact, three brand new titles are now joining this platform including Stingray Karaoke, Peppa Pig: Jump and Giggle along with football title Go Keeper.

All of these games will be included at no extra cost and they are playable without the need for controllers. That’s thanks to Sky Live’s camera tech which lets players use movement and gestures to interact with what’s on the screen.

Speaking about the update, Catherine Lees, Managing Director of TV at Sky said: “Characters like Peppa Pig bring so much joy to our youngest customers on TV, it’s brilliant we can now extend their fun with exciting, motion-controlled games on Sky Live. For the first time on the big screen, they can see themselves jumping in muddy puddles alongside their favourite friends! Peppa Pig is just one of many fun new experiences we’re bringing to Sky Live in time for Christmas – all powered by the Ents OS platform – so your TV can be more interactive, social, and entertaining than ever.”

Now, before you get too excited about this update it’s worth knowing that Sky Live is only available to users who own a Sky Glass TV.

There is also a £6 per month fee to pay on top of existing contracts. It’s not cheap but to soften the blow Sky is currently offering a decent Sky Glass discount in its Black Friday sales.

In fact, you can now grab this all-in-one TV and soundbar for just £34 per month. Another bonus of this screen is there’s no need for a dish stuck to your walls with this device using the web to beam content to its big screen.

It also comes in a number of colours and three different screen sizes.
