POUNDLAND shoppers have been going wild for their latest perfume dupes, hailing them for being just as good as the real thing.
The retailer is renowned for offering items at reduced rates, and you can currently get this bargain for just £4.
This is the “Scentalis Luna Sparkle Eau De Parfum”, an aromatic blend of fruity and floral scents that have been combined to create an impressive dupe of the infamous £55 “Daisy” by Marc Jacobs.
Poundland describes the scent as: “An excellent choice for anyone in search of a special present or personal indulgence.
“Fragrant blend featuring fruity notes of pomegranate and yuzu, delicate floral scents such as peony, magnolia, and lotus, and musky undertones.”
And plenty of happy customers have been gushing with praise for the product.
One keen shopper posted a photo of the perfume to a couponing and bargains page on Facebook to share her joy.
She captioned her post: “Marc Jacobs daisy dupe from Poundland, not kidding when I say smells exactly the same and lasts for ages.”
Another user commented: “Love it got it too saves me a fortune.”
While others added that they’d have to keep their eyes out for it.
Although, some Facebook users were less convinced by the product.
One user wrote: “I tried it. It does smell like it but the scent only lasted 10-15 mins and was gone. Husband came in from work about 20mins after me spraying it and he couldn’t smell it.”
In August last year, a savvy shopper compiled a list of fragrances from Poundland that are dupes of our favourite perfumes.
She revealed that the Galaxy perfume is a knock off of Alien by Mugler which goes elsewhere for £59.99.
Lady Glamour is the dupe to Good Girl by Caroline Herrara which is being sold for £99 at The Perfume Shope, Amour Eternal is a dupe of Dior’s J’Dore which is £58.08 at Sephora.
Illusion mimics Phantom by Paco Rabanne, Empire is a replica of Sauvage by Dior, and His Honour is almost indistinguishable from Armani Code – to name a few of the hardest-hitting dupes.
Recently, senior fragrance evaluator Noemie Maury reviewed Poundland’s latest perfume dupes in an exclusive with The Sun.
Reviewing seven of their perfumes, she didn’t hold back on her analysis.
On Lady Glamour, she said: “This one has a strong impact to start with.
“It’s well balanced and a trendy, sweet, musky smell with white flowers.
While Red Petals, a dupe of Giorgio Armani‘s Si Passione, was described as: “There’s definitely a smell of red roses with a strong vanilla background that is similar to the ‘Si’ range.”
All in all though, Noemie concluded: “You get what you pay for, some are good for the price and some are longer-lasting than others.”
