Sky TV users face yet another price rise – you must act right now to beat it

recently pushed up prices for millions of users as part of its yearly cost increases. Many TV and broadband users were hit by increases of around 6.7 percent with Sky saying it needed to add more to bills due to current market conditions. “We don’t take these decisions lightly – the change in price reflects the ongoing cost pressures we face, and our continued investment to bring the best experience for our customers,” Sky confirmed.

Sadly, it now appears there’s more bad news on its way with Sky also confirming yet another rise for some users. From next month, anyone who enjoys watching sporting action via Sky’s NOW streaming platform will have to pay more if they use the popular Day Membership.

This flexible service allows you to sign in and watch all of the 12 Sky Sports channels – including Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports F1 – for a one-off fee. It currently costs £11.99 to tune in for 24 hours but that’s all about to change with things going up to £14.99 from April 30 – that’s £3 more.

“We always try to keep prices as low as possible while continuing to offer the best member experience and flexible access to Sky Sports unrivalled sports coverage,” a NOW spokesperson told Express.co.ul.

“NOW is the only place you can stream Sky Sports just for the day and our members continue to enjoy all the action from the Premiere League, F1, Women’s Super League, as well as new sports rights and channels such as our brand new Tennis Channel which will show the ATP and WTA Tours and later in the year expanded football action as Sky Sports becomes the exclusive home of the EFL.”

Luckily, there is a way to get access to Sky Sports, via NOW, for a much more reasonable price.

Those happy to sign up for six months of access can currently join for just £26 per month – that’s a saving of 25% off the usual £34.99 cost. NOW has confirmed that this deal is still valid and users won’t face any hikes during the term of the contract.

That means those joining today will keep that bargain subscription price until the autumn. It’s also worth noting that if finances get tough or you have a change of situation you can cancel at any time.

The only thing you’ll need is a compatible device to watch NOW on. These include most modern smart TVs from Samsung and LG, Amazon Fire TV Sticks and Apple TV devices.

NOW is also available on phones, tablets, PCs and even gaming consoles such as the PS5 and Xbox.
