Sky’s popular TV and broadband bundles are bestsellers in the UK, but the firm also has several deals on smartphones, tablets, and laptops throughout the year. A popular way to afford the latest tech products is to spread the cost over a multi-year contract, which is why this excellent deal on the 15-inch MacBook Air M2 caught our eye – you can save £144 by spending £30 a month to get your hands on the excellent Apple laptop.
If you go to Sky’s website now, it has an offer on the 15-inch MacBook Air M2, a computer that came out in 2023. Sky has reduced the monthly cost from £33 to £30, which over the course of a 48-month contract is a £144 saving. The terms will also let you swap the laptop for a newer model after 36 months if you wish, too.
Sky says it’s the ‘Last chance’ to get this deal – that seems to be because many of the other MacBook models are out of stock, so you need to act fast if you want to secure this contract price.
Express.co.uk gave the 15-inch MacBook Air M2 a glowing five-star review on its release. Technology editor Dave Snelling called it “a real crowd-pleaser that combines a stunning slimline design with a larger 15.3-inch screen.”
“The hugely popular Air range now has a bigger 15-inch brother that is, without a doubt, the portable PC to beat,” he said. “[I]ts dazzling design makes sure it keeps its biggest selling point – yes, it’s still ludicrously light and ultra-portable.”
As part of the money-saving deal, Sky will throw in a 100MB per month SIM card for free, which has unlimited calls and texts. That’s not much data, but if you want a SIM card for calls and texts, it’s totally free. At checkout, you can add a SIM with more data if you want, such as a 5GB SIM for just £5 per month. Bear in mind you can’t use SIM cards with the MacBook, but it’s perfect for a smartphone if you want a new plan.
There’s a one-off upfront payment of £24 for the laptop. Paying that plus £30 per month will cost you £1,464 over the course of the 48 month contract. But that’s still £135 less than the £1,599 RRP of the laptop.
Apple has now discontinued the laptop in this offer, but with a beefy 512GB storage, very speedy M2 processor and incredible battery life, this is still a top tech purchase even though it has been superseded by the new M3 version.
The M2 model is available from Sky in the sleek Midnight colour, but you should hurry if you want to take advantage of the deal as stock probably won’t last long – the other colours are all sold out.
