SIP AUM rises 6.94% to Rs 9.95 lakh crore in December



The asset base for SIP witnessed an increase of 6.94% in December and stood at Rs 9.95 lakh crore. The SIP AUM was Rs 9.31 lakh crore in November. The SIP contribution stood at an all-time high of Rs 17,610.16 crore in December, compared to Rs 17,073 crore in November.

The number of SIP accounts stood at the highest ever 763.65 lakh in December, compared to 744.14 lakh in November. The number of new SIPs registered in December were 40.32 lakh against 30.80 lakh in November. The number of SIP matured/discontinued/paused were 20.80 lakh in December against 16.69 lakh in November.

The average asset under management (AAUM) for mutual funds in December stood at Rs 51.09 lakh crore compared to Rs 48.74 lakh crore in November.

Mutual fund folios have reached an all-time high of 16,48,90,272 in the month of December compared to 16,18,14,583 in November.

The retail MF Folios that includes equity, hybrid, solution oriented schemes has also reached an all-time high at 13,18,55,261 in December compared to 12,92,21,994 in November. The retail AUM that includes equity, hybrid, solution oriented schemes stood at Rs 28.87 lakh crore for December with an Average AUM of 28.36 lakh crore.
