SIDBI ET MSME Conclave: Second session, in Bhubaneswar on January 12, to look at innovation and uplifting entrepreneurship


The second session of the SIDBI ET MSME Conclave is scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar on January 12.
The conclave is a series of events being held nationwide to empower MSMEs. It kick-started with a successful session in Indore on January 9. The conclave aims to pave the way for sustainable growth of small businesses.Bhubaneswar, which was recently ranked by the World Bank as the best place to do business in India, is home to many commercial hubs. The Bhubaneswar session will start with an opening keynote by Sudatta Mandal, DMD, SIDBI, on “Building Odisha’s Startup Hub: SIDBI’s Role in Shaping the Next Decade”. This would be followed by a fireside chat with Saswat Mishra, Principal Secretary-MSME, Government of Odisha, where the discourse will be around cluster development district growth in Odisha. In a special address, Omkar Rai, Executive Chairman, Startup Odisha, will enlighten the attendees about the state’s thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem. This will be followed by a session that will highlight some insights from SIDBI on empowering MSMEs and collaborating with the ONDC, presented by Arup Kumar, CGM, SIDBI.

Participants will also be treated to an engaging panel discussion and brainstorming session on “Innovation and Collaboration: MSME Clusters in Odisha – A Catalyst for Success”. This panel will pick the brains of entrepreneurs from the city such as Gyan Ranjan Das, Founder, Innocule Materials and Additives; Divya Mallick, Co-Founder & CEO of TYPOF; Sumona Karjee Mishra, Founder, Prantae Solutions. AK Sharda, Honorary Secretary, The Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will also be part of the event.

The Bhubaneswar edition of the SIDBI ET MSME Conclave promises to be a cracker of an event for MSMEs. The very first session of the conclave, in Indore, was a full house; the event had received more than 400 registrations.

The country is home to 63 million MSMEs and these events aim to cater to this significant segment for India’s to keep moving forward on the path of progress, development and evolution. MSMEs are one of the largest employment generators in the country. So uplifting this sector is of crucial importance. The SIDBI ET MSME Conclave aligns with that core vision.

The SIDBI ET MSME Conclave aims to connect such entrepreneurs and small businesses and help them grow. The objective is to catalyse the next wave of growth opportunities, foster knowledge exchange, enable networking and provide help to tackle challenges to ensure Indian MSMEs see sustainable growth.
