The conclave is a series of events being held across the country with the aim to bring together micro, small & medium enterprises (MSMEs), policymakers and ecosystem enablers. Indore and Bhubaneswar saw their editions earlier this month. The event aims to pave the way forward for sustainable growth among MSMEs.

The city in Punjab is well known for its manufacturing prowess and is home to many hosiery, textile and cycle manufacturing businesses. According to Punjab Economic Survey 2023, the city has emerged as the largest manufacturing cluster in north India.
The Ludhiana session will start with an opening keynote by Rahul Priyadarshi, CGM, SIDBI. This is followed by a special address from Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina, MLA, Ludhiana South.The event will also see a fireside chat with Ishita Thaman, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Ludhiana, in which the discourse will be around the subject “Atmanirbhar Punjab: Decoding the Blueprint for Holistic MSME Expansion”.Balbir Singh, GM, SIDBI, will share with the participants insights on the collaboration of SIDBI and ONDC. He will also showcase various schemes brought by SIDBI for MSMEs. This will be an interactive session where small businesses can resolve their queries and connect with stakeholders.Next, the event would see an engaging panel discussion and brainstorming session around the topic “Revitalising Ludhiana’s Manufacturing Landscape”. This panel will pick the brains of industry leaders from the city, such as Mridula Jain, Managing Director, Shingora; Badish Jindal, President of the Federation of Punjab Small Industries; Gurmeet Singh Kular, Chairman, Kular Enterprise, Darshan Group of Companies; and Upkar Singh, CMD Newswan-President, Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertaking.
The session in Ludhiana will act as a networking platform and encourage participating MSMEs to foster connections with industry stakeholders, policymakers and industry experts.
The first two sessions of the conclave were held in Indore and Bhubaneswar, and saw a stellar turnout. These events helped many MSMEs connect with peers, stakeholders and senior officials.
The country is home to 63 million MSMEs and these events aim to cater to this segment to ensure India remains on the path of progress, development and evolution. As one of the largest employment generators in the country, MSMEs need to be given all the help for job and economic growth in the nation. The SIDBI ET MSME Conclave aligns with that core vision of uplifting this sector.
The objective of the event is to catalyse the next wave of growth opportunities, foster knowledge exchange, enable networking and help to tackle challenges for sustainable growth of Indian MSMEs.
