The fourth largest city in Gujarat, Rajkot is the growth engine of Saurashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said last year during the inauguration of the Rajkot international airport. The city is known for industries such as textile and silk, jewellery designs and watch parts. Rajkot is also known as the hub of engineering and has various businesses in manufacturing auto engines and components, and in forging. The city contributes significantly to the state’s economy by hosting many MSMEs.
The SME sector in the country is known for its entrepreneurial achievements and ambition. The MSME Conclaves aims to provide a platform to strengthen such small businesses in the country.
