Hindustan Unilever (HUL) on Thursday reported a standalone net profit of Rs 2,505 crore for the December quarter, up 12% over the corresponding period of last year. Although the performance, while being good, was overshadowed by the company’s announcement of an increase in the royalty that it pays to its parent Unilever.
