Baffled fans started raising the alarm when UK stores stopped stocking Milky Way Crispy Rolls – wafer biscuits with a light whipped filling dunked in rich milk chocolate.

A confused shopper penned: “Milkyway crispy rolls discontinued? How much more can we take before we riot?”

In response, a spokesperson for Mars Wrigley UK sadly confirmed the news and told The Sun: “While Milky Way Crispy Rolls are currently in a galaxy far, far away we’re pleased to offer many delicious alternatives such as Milky Way Magic Stars, Maltesers, Mars and of course, the traditional Milky Way.

“The love for Milky Way Crispy Rolls has been out of this world and we’ve certainly taken note!”

Distraught chocolate lovers expressed their passion for the popular treat.

“I am craving Milky Way Crispy Rolls it’s actually a joke why did they get discontinued,” wrote one.

“@milkyway sort it out right now or have me in the bus stop next to McDonald’s,” said another.

“Milky Way Crispy Rolls have been discontinued in the UK. The end of an era,” another chimed in.

“Woke up to see apparently Milky Way Crispy Rolls have been discontinued??! Week ruined nobody talk to me,” agreed someone else.

One raging fan even claimed the popular manufacturer had a “war on [their] hands” after the discontinuation.

“Good morning to everyone except the person responsible for discontinuing Milky Way Crispy Rolls,” another jibed.

However, all hope is not lost, with a few stores still selling the heavenly chocolate snack – but they can come at a steep price.

Sweettreatsandpartyfavours.co.uk, Belito.co.uk and sosweetshop.co.uk all stock the MilkyWay favourite.

Sosweetshop.co.uk is selling a single choc bar for £1.49 per 25g bar but delivery will cost you £3.55.

Or, alternatively there’s a box of 24 for £30.

Belito is selling them at £10.70 for a box of 24, working out at 44p per chocolate.

But shopping costs £6.75 which ups the total to £17.45.

Other eagle-eyed shoppers spotted the beloved bar in a Premier convenience store in Glasgow called the Racetrack Pitstop.

Someone else confirmed “one of the local shops” in their area sells them but they are expensive.

Meanwhile fans have also found them on TikTok, one said: “Box of 23 on Tik Tok shop £19, £15 sometimes if you have a voucher (add it to yer basket then don’t buy it and you’ll get one)”.

Plus, packs of 24 can be bought on eBay for £17 but there are some sellers offering them at varying prices.

This comes as chocolate lovers were devastated when Cadbury removed a popular Christmas treat.

Cadbury’s also confirmed the decision to discontinue the Cadbury Dairy Milk 30% Less Sugar after fans questioned why it had vanished from shops.
