Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: VRL Logistics(Rs. 241.88 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 130.03 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 125.44 crore), Indian Railway Fin(Rs. 94.98 crore), Cochin Shipyard(Rs. 63.09 crore), Power Finance Corp.(Rs. 55.28 crore), JP Power(Rs. 55.11 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 43.71 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 42.91 crore) and REC(Rs. 38.63 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:21AM in Friday’s session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 26.6 points up at 19753.65, while BSE Sensex was up 99.56 points at 66365.12 as of 11:21AM(IST)on September 08.

In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 2.99 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.68 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.60 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent) were among the top losers.
