The 30-share Sensex traded 11.58 points up at 81537.72, while the 50-share Nifty index rose 15.1 points to 24626.7.
In the Nifty 50 index, 14 stocks traded in the green, while 36 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Apoorva Leasing Finance, Deepak Builders & En, SoftTech Engineers, Zinka Logistics Solu and Sujala Trading hit their fresh 52-week high, while Yash Management, Advance Lifestyles, Axita Cotton, Grandma Trading and Filatex Fashions touched their new 52-week low in trade.
