It’s been a very busy week for Samsung. The Korean technology giant has just shown off its all-new TVs at the CES event in Las Vegas and it’s an exciting line-up of pin-sharp screens. There’s a new flagship range that gets brighter, thinner, and smarter, plus an 8K Premier projector that can beam a 150-inch pixel-packed image onto any wall in your home.
They are very nice upgrades but there is another telly coming soon from Samsung and it definitely stands out from the crowd if you want a TV to blend in with your home.
It’s called the Frame Pro, and it hangs on your wall just like a picture. That smart design makes it look more like a piece of furniture rather than an ugly screen. Samsung is no stranger to lifestyle displays and has been making Frame TVs for a while, but the Pro now has a unique trick up its sleeve.
That’s because it will ship with a new Wireless One Connect box in the packaging, which can beam content to the big screen without the need for cables.
That means you can tuck this device away in a cupboard along with your game consoles and TV boxes such as Sky Q. For homes that want a more seamless look, this Pro model will fix the usual annoyance of cables and accessories littering living rooms.
And don’t worry about things glitching or being slow, with Samsung promising there will be no latency thanks to Wi-Fi 7 and other impressive wireless technology. It’s worth noting that LG has had a similar system for over a year, so it’s nice to see Samsung now joining the party as well.
In addition to a wireless experience, the new Frame also features advanced Neo QLED technology, which makes colours look brighter, content look sharper, and blacks appear richer.
It’s also powered by a new NQ4 Gen3 AI Processor for better performance and more intelligent features. It is, of course, a smart TV so you get instant access to all the usual streaming services.
Another nice boost to the Frame series is the ability to turn the display into a giant work of art, with Samsung’s Art Store now offering more than 3,000 curated works from prestigious global partners, including MoMA and the estates of Magritte and Basquiat.
There is currently no word on price but don’t expect the Frame Pro to be cheap. Most current models cost over £1,500 It should launch in the UK in the spring, so watch this space.
