Samsung has published security patch details for September 2023 and an updated list of monthly and quarterly plans for Samsung devices. The South Korean tech giant has also changed the frequency of updates for its Galaxy devices and added six more Galaxy devices to the end of the software support list.

According to information, Samsung has added six more devices to the Android software support list, including Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10 5G, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, Galaxy A10s, and Galaxy Xcover Field Pro. The Galaxy Note 10 Lite, on the other hand, is listed in the quarterly update list, which means it will be receiving software on a quarterly basis.

Samsung ended software support for the Galaxy Note 10 series.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10 in 2019, and this innovative smartphone comes with great design, excellent performance, and useful features with Android 9 preinstalled. Also, all the devices are currently running on Android 12-based One UI 4.1, which is the last major update. However, the series is eligible for three Android OS updates and four years of security patches. Now that the device is over four years old, the company has decided to discontinue updates for it.

It is disappointing for users with any of these devices that they will no longer receive any firmware upgrades from Samsung. Therefore, if owners of these devices want to experience more advanced features and the latest security improvements than what is available in these devices, they are advised to prefer the newer models.

Now, all the above mentioned devices will not get any new features as well as bug fixes for security vulnerabilities in the upcoming One UI version. Therefore, you will not receive any security patches, so system security will not be improved, so you will not be able to keep your files and data safe on your Galaxy phone.
