Russia shares lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index down 0.35%



Investing.com – Russia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Moscow, the lost 0.35%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:), which rose 2.40% or 1.35 points to trade at 57.60 at the close. Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX:) added 1.01% or 0.06 points to end at 6.39 and VK Company Ltd (MCX:) was up 1.00% or 3.40 points to 343.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included AK ALROSA PJSC (MCX:), which lost 3.73% or 2.02 points to trade at 52.13 in late trade. Novolipetsk Steel (MCX:) declined 2.15% or 2.88 points to end at 130.96 and FGK Rusgidro PAO (MCX:) shed 2.00% or 0.01 points to 0.52.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 159 to 83 and 11 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 5.41% to 26.48.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.07% or 28.90 to $2,736.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.88% or 1.33 to hit $69.34 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.64% or 1.22 to trade at $73.23 a barrel.

USD/RUB was down 2.20% to 95.26, while EUR/RUB fell 1.88% to 103.52.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 103.30.
