February 13 (SeeNews) – Romania’s Satu Mare international airport has signed a 40.6 million lei ($8.8 million/8.2 million euro) deal for the installation of a high-tech security system with a consortium of local companies UTI Construction and Facility Management (UTI CFM) and Bog’Art.
The works have to be be completed within 11 months from the start, UTI CFM said in a press release on Friday.
Funding for the project is provided from the airport’s budget, from the state budget, and from non-reimbursable funds from the operational programme for big infrastructure works for the 2014-2020 period.
As part of the works, the two companies will build a security system for the airport’s perimeter and the technical area featuring systems for video surveillance and facial recognition.
