Rogue Legacy 2 release date on PS5, PS4: Video game coming soon after Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC versions

Rogue Legacy 2″ finally has a PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 release date and it has been confirmed by video game maker Cellar Door Games. This marks the expansion of the game’s availability beyond its existing Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC versions. Players can expect the PlayStation release to include all the latest content updates, aligning it with the other platforms. It will arrive to PS5 and PS4 on June 20.

Rogue Legacy 2 builds upon the success of its predecessor – it offers players the freedom to choose their preferred playstyle i.e., one can opt for a fast-paced approach, diving deeper into the depths of a randomly-generated world, or take a slower and more methodical approach to gradually build character’s strength and readiness for greater challenges.

Rogue Legacy 2 introduces several key features: Players will encounter new monsters, traps, and layouts every time they enter the Kingdom, promoting improvisation over memorization. The game includes 15 new classes, each with its distinct style of play.

The sequel also presents a fresh artistic approach with its 2.5D stylings, combining 3D characters with hand-drawn backdrops. The art incorporates heavy shading and the animations to maintain the familiar Rogue Legacy look and feel.

Furthermore, the game revamps the traits system to offer a more meaningful decision-making process for choosing heirs. Traits now come with gold modifiers, providing rewards that correspond to the level of challenge they present.
