Rockefeller Center Christmas tree 2023 lighting date, time, live streaming: When, where to watch tree lighting ceremony



The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree for this year has reached its destination, adorned with more than 50,000 multi-colored LED lights and approximately five miles of wire.

Architect Daniel Libeskind designed the three-dimensional star atop the tree in 2018, weighing around 900 pounds. The star boasts 70 spikes adorned with 3 million crystals, according to the Rockefeller Center.

NBC will broadcast the tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday, November 29, starting at 8 pm (ET). The event will also be simulcast on Peacock for those who prefer streaming.

Although the show begins at 8 pm, the tree will be lit a few minutes before 10 pm (ET), as per the Rockefeller Center’s website.

The Rockefeller Center’s website states that the tree will be illuminated daily from 5 am to midnight until January 13, with a continuous 24-hour lighting on Christmas Day and from 5 am (ET) to 9 pm (ET) on New Year’s Eve.
