As you can read in our full Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra reviews, these really were some of the best Android phones of 2024. Impressive cameras, snappy processors, sharp-shooting cameras and super premium design all added to their appeal along with these being the very first Samsung phones to feature smart Galaxy AI. That upgrade brought things such as real-time call translation, automatic image editing and impressive “Circle to Search” technology to these devices.
The S24 has been hugely popular for the Korean technology firm but it seems its reign is about to end.
It’s been confirmed that Samsung’s next big Unpacked event will take place later this week and it’s almost certain that a new S25 range will be the stars of the show.
Full details of the showcase, which will take place live from San Jose in California, are being kept under wraps for now but Samsung has teased one upgrade that will be making an appearance.
“The Now Bar – a feature that’s coming to our next Galaxy smartphones,” said Annika Bizon, Director of Marketing and Omnichannel, and Head of Ireland – MX Division, Samsung UK & Ireland
“It learns your everyday actions and most-used apps, bringing them into one space. You’ll be able to control entertainment, get directions to your next meeting or start communicating in other languages from one convenient access point.”
Other changes remain fully under wraps but it’s likely that we will see three new call makers unveiled including a standard S25, bigger S25 Plus and ultimate S25 Ultra.
These could all get faster processors (let’s hope it’s the new Snapdragon 8 Elite from Qualcomm) along with upgraded cameras and a new design.
One leak is even claiming to show off how the S25 will look with tech tipster Evan Blass publishing images that show a stunning new blue model alongside a sharp-looking S25 Ultra with its note-taking S Pen.
Luckily, there’s not long to wait until we get full details with the grand unveiling taking place on Wednesday, January 22 at 10am local time. That’s 6pm GMT. Express.co.uk will be bringing you all the news live from Unpacked so watch this space for full details.
