RFK Jr's endorsement of Trump not to affect Harris at all, says DNC official

Kamala Harris is currently at the peak of her popularity, more so after the Democratic National Convention 2024, where she gave one of her best addresses to the Americans through her acceptance speech. Over the course of the past few weeks, Harris has been seen in great form in the poll surveys and statistics, even beating her Republican opponent Donald Trump, in a few instances.

Does RFK Jr. endorsing Trump mean anything for Harris?

There are high chances that RFK Jr. could drop out out of the US poll race and begin rooting for Donald Trump instead. However, previous ET reports suggest that RFK Jr.’s team is also in talks with the Democratic camp to carve out a deal that works well for Harris and RFK Jr. simultaneously. However, nothing is finite as of this moment.

If RFK Jr. indeed decides to go with Trump, DNC officials feel that it would not hurt Kamala Harris’ chances of winning the polls as the RFK factor has not contributed a singe bit towards her increasing popularity ratings, statewide and countrywide, as seen in latest poll data.

DNC officials clear the air

DNC officials are claiming, according to The Hill, that Democrats were always preparing for a head-to-head clash with Donald Trump and did not consider any external forces in play, even when RFK Jr.’ was seen surging in popularity ratings. The Democratic Part’s team is of the opinion that any arrangement between Trump and RFK Jr. could do very little, and change ‘nothing about the actual US Presidential polls 2024‘, that are set to happen in a few months.
