The acquisition builds upon growing the pro AV product category and the private brands offering within ADI Global Distribution.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Resideo Technologies has announced it has completed the acquisition of privately held distributor BTX Technologies, based in Hawthorne, N.Y. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
BTX, founded in 1967; distributes professional audio, video, data communications and broadcast equipment. In addition, BTX offers a private brand portfolio, including the BookIT Room Scheduling Solution, holds several patents for connectivity products and provides manufacturing services for custom broadcast fiber assemblies, panels and more. The company has warehouse locations in New York and Utah, serving customers across North America. It will be part of Resideo’s ADI Global Distribution business.

Resideo, through its ADI Global Distribution business, is a leading wholesale distributor of low-voltage security and life safety products for commercial and residential markets. The company serves a variety of adjacent product categories including audio visual, data com, wire and cable, and smart home solutions.

Last month, Resideo announced that it had completed the acquisition of Teknique, a New-Zealand-based company that specializes in edge-based, artificial intelligence-enabled video camera development and solutions.
