In order to ensure strong security measures for the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, authorities have implemented high-tech gadgets including AI-based CCTV cameras, X-ray luggage scanners and Under Vehicle Scanning System (UVSS), to provide a full-proof security at Ram Temple. Multiple teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have also been deployed in Ayodhya ahead of the consecration ceremony. These teams are trained to handle chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear attacks, as well as disasters like earthquakes and drowning incidents. To enhance security at the venue, Ayodhya has implemented advanced technology, including the installation of 10,000 CCTV cameras, some of which utilize AI-based technology for enhanced surveillance. In addition, plain-clothed multilingual police officers have received training in soft skills for their deployment at the ceremony.

The security of the Saryu river, which flows through Ayodhya, has also been reinforced with the involvement of power boats, NDRF and SDRF teams, as well as local boatmen. Close coordination with other agencies is ongoing, with strict checks being conducted at international and inter-state borders. Drones will be utilized for crowd control and to divert excess crowds. Anti-drone technology will also be employed at the venue to ensure the maintenance of security arrangements.

The security system also include the deployment of 11 advanced security gadgets such as X-ray luggage scanners and an Under Vehicle Scanning System (UVSS). These cutting-edge devices have the capability to detect prohibited items and concealed weapons. Vehant Technologies is providing these high tech machines for Ram Temple. These X-Ray baggage scanners also also used at airports. “These high-tech machines were also placed at three recently opened airports,” Vihant Tech said in a statement.

The UVSS technology will assist in identifying any vehicles carrying hidden explosives, weapons, or hazardous materials. The KritiScan 100100 H X-ray baggage scanner, specifically designed for high-security environments, can accurately identify forbidden objects through real-time x-ray images.

Multiple teams from the NDRF have been deployed in Ayodhya ahead of the consecration ceremony. These teams are trained to handle chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear attacks, as well as disasters like earthquakes and drowning incidents.

The NDRF has stationed multiple teams and hazardous material (HAZMAT) vehicles in Ayodhya. These vehicles, which were procured by the force during the recent G20 summit in Delhi, will enable effective disaster response. The commanding officer of the battalion based in Varanasi, along with his personnel and experts, is also present in Ayodhya.

The NDRF possesses several multi-tonne HAZMAT vehicles, each costing approximately Rs 15 crore. These vehicles, manufactured by Bharat Electronics Limited under the Ministry of Defence, are currently stationed in Ayodhya. Additionally, diving teams from the NDRF have been deployed at the Sarayu River and other water bodies in the city to handle any drowning incidents.

The NDRF teams in Ayodhya are equipped to respond to earthquakes, structure collapse, and other emergencies. They are working in coordination with central security, intelligence agencies, and state authorities. The NDRF, established in 2006, has 16 battalion bases and 28 regional response centres across various states for quick rescue and relief operations.
